The Philosophy
Artist Statement

As a performer and dance maker, I thrive to explore the unknown, specifically through improvisation and collaboration in the Contemporary or Modern style. It is my greatest belief that the creation of community and the appreciation of vulnerability are the fundamentals of any dancer or choreographer. In some of my choreographic projects collaboration is the means by which I seek to enhance a sense of community. I often question whether the boundaries between dancers and choreographer are necessary. My own experience as a queer woman influences much of my work. Through the medium of dance I question: can I make my individual experience relatable to an audience and other artists?
